Ireland beat Pakistan by 5 wickets on Friday (10th May) in Dublin. Andrew Bilbirnie's brilliant 77 laid the foundation for Irish, and then Dockrell had a blitz at the middle to keep the ship going at a rapid pace and in the end it was Curtis Campher's magical cameo which helped them topple Pakistan by 5 wickets.

Ireland sealed last over victory to go 1-0 up in the series against Pakistan. 
Being asked to bat first, Pakistan lost their wk-batter Mohammad Rizwan earlier on for a run-out. Captain Babar Azam and Saim Ayub strung a partnership together, where the latter one was going in a rapid pace and the former one was perfectly playing the second fiddle role.

Saim missed on his half-century for 5 runs as he made a fantastic 45 off just 29 balls before falling to Delany. Babar on the other hand brought up a fine fifty and made 57 off 43 balls. Azam Khan and Shadab Khan both had ducks which diverted Pakistan for a while from scoring huge. But at the backend of the innings, Iftikhar Ahmed's blitz of 37* from just 15 balls helped the visitors post 182 on the board.

In reply, Ireland lost their skipper cheaply in the big chase. Lorcan Tucker also flopped in the night. Harry Tector and opener Andrew Bilbirnie stitched a partnership of 77 runs to keep Ireland going in the chase before Abbas Afridi came to remove the former one for 36 from 27 deliveries.

The departure of Tector brought in Dockrell who went for smacking 2 sixes and 2 fours in no time to change the momentum of the match. Andrew Bilbirnie scored a swashbuckling 77 off 55 balls before knocking over from Shaheen Shah Afridi. But that didn’t hamper Ireland from chasing down the total as a little but effective cameo from bowler Curtis Campher helped them chase down the total by 5 wickets .
