All the cricketers of the world are always keen to play in the Indian Premier League (IPL). However, the demand for Bangladeshis in IPL is less than for players from other Test-playing countries. The one or two players who get a team, don't get enough chances to play, even if the franchises talk a lot about them. The former captain of the national team, Mashrafe Bin Mortaza, thinks that the IPL franchises are exploiting the craze of the people of Bangladesh for cricket.

Delhi Capitals have played four matches so far, out of which Mustafizur Rahman had a chance to play in only one match. But he was flown on a chartered flight from Bangladesh. Mustafizur's pictures are regularly posted on Delhi's social platforms. The same is the case after Litton Das joined Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). Litton is yet to play a match, he has only just joined the team.

Mashrafe also played IPL for this team in the past. In response to the question of whether Litton will be able to make it to the main XI from Kolkata's competitive squad, Mashrafe's straightforward answer is, “I am not worried about the IPL. I don't care if Litton plays in IPL or not. My headache is about the Bangladesh team. We will all be happy if Bangladesh play well.”

Then Mashrafe brought up the reality. He said, “It is very good that Litton has gone to play in the IPL. But look... our Mustafizur was taken on a chartered flight and did not play many matches. There are many things here. The thing about social media.... We also get excited. Bangladesh cricket has a fanbase. Which maybe they can use. Our players have the ability. We want them to play in the tournament. But it is not the case! That's why it's better not to think about it."
