Tamim, who has been carrying a knee injury, has been ruled out of the field for two weeks, putting his participation in the early part of Zimbabwe tour in doubt.
The injury caused him more pain during Prime Bank's chase of 74 in a revised 10-over game at Mirpur on Thursday. He was out after making 9 runs from 13 balls.
The southpaw however expects to play part in Zimbabwe series, "I played a few games with an injury to my right knee. But I couldn’t adjust anymore. It was getting difficult to make efforts on the field. The BCB medical team has advised me to rest and I will be starting rehab soon. Hopefully I will play the Zimbabwe series right from the beginning," Tamim told BDCricTime.
"Our team has confirmed a spot in the Super League. I hope the team will get closer to the title. Best wishes to them."
