India's left-arm pacer Arshdeep Singh has been as the ICC T20I cricketer of the year 2024. He played pivotal role in India's T20 World Cup winning campaign.

Arshdeep SinghThe 25-year-old pacer has beaten Pakistan's Babar Azam, Australia's Travis Head and Zimbabwe's Sikandar Raza to claim the T20I cricketer of the year award.

The pacer's remarkable stack of 36 wickets in just 18 matches made him India’s leading wicket-taker in the T20I's in 2024. Despite bowling in high-pressure phases especially in the death over of an innings, he maintained a stellar average of only 15.31 and an impressive economy rate of 7.49.

Arshdeep's standout performance of the year came in the T20 World Cup against the host side USA, he single handedly demolished the side with bowling figures of 4/9. Even in the final of the tournament against South Africa, he picked up two wickets including a superb penultimate over as he returned figures with Arshdeep’s terrific figures of 2/20 from four overs to help India seal the final over the proteas and break their ICC trophy drought after 11 years. He was India's highest wicket-taker and joint-highest overall with 17 scalps alongside Fazalhaq Farooqi in that tournament. Arshdeep Singh also is the part of ICC's T20I team of the year.
