International Cricket Council (ICC) has asked television channel Al Jazeera to give them every evidence regarding match-fixing allegations which Al Jazeera viewed in a documentary. [caption id="attachment_99254" align="aligncenter" width="1400"] ICC seeks evidence for match-fixing

Photo: Getty Images[/caption] In the documentary 'Cricket's Match Fixers' released by Al Jazeera, they investigated match-fixing in international cricket and found four Test matches were fixed. The matches are: India vs England Chennai Test 2016 and India vs Australia Ranchi Test 2017 (spot-fixing) and Sri Lanka vs Australia Galle Test 2016 and Sri Lanka vs India Galle Test 2017 (pitch-fixing). The investigators also found that fixers were planning to fix this year's Sri Lanka vs England Test at the same ground. However, Sri Lanka Cricket have suspended individuals alleged to be involved in pitch-fixing Three English and two Australian players were reportedly involved in 'session-fixing'. However, Cricket Australia and ECB (England and Wales Cricket Board) said that there were no credible evidence of fixing. ICC CEO David Richardson has informed that they will conduct an investigation but he asked Al Jazeera to assist with evidence. "We will conduct a full, thorough and fair investigation," Richardson said in a statement on Friday. "I ask Al Jazeera to release to us all the material they have relating to corruption in cricket. We will conduct a full, thorough and fair investigation and will ensure no stone is left unturned as we examine all allegations of corruption made in the programme. To do so, we need to see all the evidence they state they possess. "I am encouraged by their public commitment to cooperate and now ask that they do so, in releasing all relevant material. We understand and fully respect the need to protect journalistic sources and our ACU (Anti-Corruption Unit) team have worked with other media companies on that basis. However, to prove or disprove these allegations, we need to see the evidence referred to in the programme."
