USA captain Aaron Jones says that they have got a lot of support in the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 this year and they will get bigger and better from here.

USA lost to England by 10 wickets in their last match of the tournament on Sunday (23rd June) at Kensington Oval, Bridgetown, Barbados. USA lost their first two matches of the Super Eight also against South Africa by 18 runs and against West Indies by 9 wickets.

In their last match against England, Chris Jordan picked up a hat-trick, while Adil Rashid had another superb spell to restrict USA to a modest total of 115 on the board. In reply, Jos Buttler hammered an unbeaten 83* off 38 deliveries, where he bludgeoned Harmeet Singh for 5 sixes in an over to kill the chase with more than 10 overs to spare.

“Hard game to get to grips to be honest. We did not have a good last two games, something for us to talk about when we go back to USA but that's how it goes. Wicket was a bit sticky, Rashid very experienced, very good bowler. Our shot selection was not good, we knew he was the dangerman. Something to look into and we definitely will come back harder. (Buttler) Very experienced and he batted beautifully today,” Jones said.

Jones adds that it was a great opportunity for them to play against bigger teams and they want to play more and more against them. “Looking forward to playing more big teams. It's very good for us, this is our first World Cup, lot of people did not think we will be here playing against England, West Indies and the big boys. Hopefully this will open the eyes of the American public. We've got a lot of calls and messages of support during this World Cup. I see us getting bigger and better from here,” Jones added.

USA had a great T20 World Cup as they qualified from the group of India, Pakistan, Ireland, and Canada. They beat Pakistan in a thrilling super-over and created history in the tournament.
