Finally, the wait is over. There is a century in this year's BPL. Towhid Hridoy of Bangladesh gave the Comilla Victorians a great victory by scoring a wonderful century in a thrilling match against the Durdanto Dhaka.  

In the face of pressure, Hridoy of Comilla scored an extraordinary century. Chasing a target of 176 runs, Comilla lost 3 wickets for 23 runs. From there, Hridoy left the field winning the match by pulling the team to score a century. Hridoy said after the match that he moved forward with the thought of playing aggressive cricket even in moments of pressure.

At the press conference after the match, Hridoy said, “Alhamdulillah, the first century in T20. It is every batter's dream. Last year I had a chance to score a century but could not do it. Alhamdulillah I got a century. Every batter dreams of scoring a century. From the beginning, I tried that I would play aggressively as the run was 170+. If we went backfoot for 2-3 overs here... we kept losing wickets, it's not really in my hands, I tried to implement my plan.”

Referring to hitting three sixes in Saif Hassan’s over, Hridoy added, “(Targeting Saif) No target, I said earlier when an off-spinner came I was looking for the ball in my zone. We needed a big over I think that was the perfect time. Maybe a wicket could be lost. But I was set, I had confidence, now if I tried, there was a chance to turn the match. I advanced with this plan.”

Comilla Victorians got their 5th win in 7 matches as a result of great victory. Comilla is currently 2nd in the points table by collecting 10 points.
