During Mumbai Indians' (MI) IPL 2025 clash against Gujarat Titans (GT) a heated exchange between MI skipper Hardik Pandya and GT spinner R Sai Kishore grabbed everyone’s attention. It was a moment that added extra spice to an already thrilling game in Ahmedabad.

The match which saw MI fall short by 36 runs left the five-time champions winless after two games. Sitting at the ninth place in the points table, the pressure on Pandya’s team is mounting.

The tense staredown happened in the 14th over when Pandya after blocking a delivery from Sai Kishore found himself in a brief yet intense face-off with the bowler. With both players locking eyes the crowd could feel the heat. But it didn’t take long for the situation to calm down and the game continued without further drama.

Fans may remember that Pandya and Sai Kishore were once on the same side when Hardik captained Gujarat Titans. Now on opposite teams, their rivalry seemed to surface in this moment.

However, after the game, Sai Kishore brushed off any tension, saying, "Hardik is a good friend, and these things happen on the field. Rivalries stay within the game; we never take them personally. Healthy competition makes sports exciting."

The two players were even seen hugging after the match proving there’s no bad blood between them.
