Losing the toss, openers Gurbaz and Karim Janat were off to a flying start, adding 80 in eight overs before the latter departed on 26. Gurbaz got his big hits going with his captain Asghar Afghan at the other end. The duo put on 74 runs in 44 balls for the second wicket. The scoring rate went down after Gurbaz caught off Ryan Burl. Asghar remained till the last over, as he scored 38-ball 55 runs. The rest of the batting order did not add much. Zimbabwe looked out of the game ahead of a big total. Tinashe Kamunhukamwe made 44 runs off 37 balls. Absence of a brisk knock resulted in just making 150 for 7 in 20 overs. Rashid Khan, who was introduced after the 10th over, claimed 3 wickets for 28 runs. Janat bowled an economical spell of 2/14 in four overs. The next two T20Is will be played on Friday and Saturday.
