Gulshan Cricket Club beat Shinepukur Cricket Club by just 5 runs, even though they only scored 178 runs in an exciting, low-scoring match in the Dhaka Premier League (DPL) on Wednesday.

In the 10th round of the league, Gulshan were bowled out for 178 runs in 41 overs at Mirpur's Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium. They were in trouble from the start.  Shakib Shahriyer got a tough 38 runs to lead their game, and opener Zawad Abrar added 37 runs.  The Shinepukur bowlers controlled the game. Mohammad Rahim Ahmed took 2 wickets and Neon Zaman took 3 wickets.

In response, Shinepukur had a great chance to get a much-needed win, but the Gulshan bowlers were able to keep their cool.  Even though Shoriful Islam scored 22 runs without getting out and Sharear Sakib scored 40, Shinepukur lost and were bowled out for 173 in 43 overs.

The captain of Gulshan, Azizul Hakim Tamim, led the way with the ball and took 3 wickets. Nihaduzzaman also took 3 wickets to win the thrilling match.

The close win gave Gulshan a big lead in the points table as the league's final stretch approaches. This shows that in cricket, even small totals can be guarded with discipline and determination.
