Fazle Rabbi ton powers Sheikh Jamal to a thumping win over Shinepukur

Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club beat Shinepukur Cricket Club by 7 wickets on Thursday (25th April). Fazle Rabbi's swashbuckling hundred eclipsed Jishan Alam's onslaught of 98 off 61 balls.
Opting to bat first, Tanzid Hasan Tamim and Jishan Alam both had brisk start. Both of them added 123 runs just inside 12 overs. Tanzid got back to hut after scoring 39 off 23 balls. But Jishan Alam was going rapidly as he went for scoring a fantastic 98 off 61 balls, missed his hundred only for two runs. After the departure of Jishan, Shinepukur's run rate got slower.
But Akbar Ali played an anchor like innings to keep steering the ship. He made a greety 64 off 83 balls. They were bowled out for 264 runs inside 46.1 overs.
In reply, Sheikh Jamal lost Saikat Ali earlier of their innings. And then Saif Hasan and Fazle Rabbi Mahmud forged a partnership to steer the truck. Both of them went berserk. Saif scored a fluent 67 off 75 balls to lay a platform for the middle order to come and slash hard.
But there was no stopping of Fazle Rabbi. He scored unbeaten 101 off 119 balls to take his side home. He was well supported by Yasir Ali Rabbi with his 40 off 42 balls at the backend of the innings, which helped Sheikh Jamal win the game by 7 wickets.
