Rocky Flintoff, the 16-year-old son of former England all-rounder and Lions coach Andrew Flintoff, has been named in England’s Lions squad for their upcoming tour of Australia. The squad will play two four-day matches against a Cricket Australia XI in Brisbane, followed by a first-class match against Australia A in Sydney. Flintoff junior, an all-rounder like his father, was a late inclusion in the squad during the Lions' training camp in South Africa earlier this month.

Rocky, who made his debut for Lancashire this summer, has quickly risen through the ranks, impressing for the England Young Lions. His selection continues the Flintoff family's cricketing legacy, with his brother Corey Flintoff also representing Lancashire at the academy level.

Alongside Rocky Flintoff, several other young talents have been included in the squad, including pace bowlers Sonny Baker and Mitchell Stanley, both yet to make their first-class debuts. The squad also features England Test players Shoaib Bashir, Tom Hartley, and Josh Tongue.

The Lions will depart for Australia on January 3rd for a challenging series, which provides a significant opportunity for young players to showcase their skills on the top cricket stage.
