A team's strengths and weaknesses complement one another. Cricket players, on the other hand, are loath to expose their own frailties while threatening their opponents with their abilities. Bangladesh, however, is more vulnerable before their match against the Netherlands. The Tigers, who have lost four in a row, are well-known to the Dutch coach.
Netherland’s current head coach Ryan Cook was the fielding coach of Bangladesh. Now he’s very successful as a Dutch coach.
Cook brought the team to the World Cup as the head coach of the Netherlands. Having worked with the cricketers of the Bangladesh team, he knows the strengths and weaknesses of the Tigers very well. Cook shared that experience with the disciples.
Netherlands captain Scott Edwards said, “It's definitely helped for us, especially in terms of that sort of analyst side. He obviously worked for a long time with the Bangladesh team and a lot of these guys individually. So he's sort of spreading what he knows about this squad but there's obviously some new players, players change over years as well so you know we'll take what information we can from him and try to apply that into the game and yeah but first and foremost we just got to make sure we execute our skills.”
Both Bangladesh and Netherlands have played five matches each and won one match each and lost the remaining four matches.
