Three IPL teams considering Shakib Al Hasan
The 37-year-old cricket star did not have a good year when his bowling action was found to be illegal while he was playing in county cricket. Shakib finally passed his test on March 9 at Loughborough University in England, after two failed tries to fix what he did. Now that he is free to bowl again, the former No. 1 all-rounder can't wait to get back on the field. The Indian Premier League (IPL) is the perfect place to do it.

Bangladesh all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan is back in action. Since the experienced cricket player passed his bowling action test, he can now bowl in competitive games again. Indian media say that Shakib could play in the IPL 2025, and fans were already excited about his return. Three teams have already been in touch with him.
Sangbad Pratidin, an Indian news source, says that three IPL teams have already had informal talks with Shakib. Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), Rajasthan Royals (RR), and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) are said to be looking for a good all-rounder to add to their teams, especially one who can bowl spin.
Shakib wasn't picked in the IPL 2025 auction, so he can only join the league to fill in for someone who is injured. If a team loses a player because of an injury or something else, Shakib could be signed to fill in.
The experienced bowler has played in the IPL for both Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH). With KKR, he won two titles in 2012 and 2014. No Bangladeshi cricketers were picked in the sale, so if he gets to play this year, he will be the only one from Bangladesh in the IPL 2025.
Sources say that Shakib himself contacted all three teams and let them know he was available and ready to play. He has a lot of experience and can win games, so he would be a good addition to any team that needs a veteran all-rounder.
