England have beaten India by 26 runs to bounce back in the T20I series on Tuesday (January 28) in Rajkot. Ben Duckett [51 off 28] and Liam Livingstone [43 off 24] powered England to a competitive 171 on the board. In reply, Jamie Overton's three wickets and two each from Jofra Archer and Brydon Carse helped England claim this victory.

Being inserted to bat first, wicketkeeper batter Phil Salt was gone cheaply to Hardik Pandya. Captain Jos Buttler and Ben Duckett stitched a superb 76-run stand together before the departure of Buttler on 24. However, Duckett went onto scoring a brisk fifty, scoring 51 off 28 deliveries. Varun Chakravarthy triggered the collapse but Liam Livingstone stood tall and blasted 43 off 24 balls amid the collapse to help his side get to a competitive 171 on the board.

In reply, India lost an early wicket in the form of Sanju Samson who struggled to get going once again. Abishek Sharma and skipper Suryakumar Yadav too were dismissed inside the powerplay as India fell in further trouble. While Tilak Varma too couldn’t get going as a brilliant delivery from Adil Rashid knocked him over.

Hardik Pandya found it hard to get the scoreboard ticking when the pacers were bowling, boundaries were difficult to come by for India as England claimed a superb 26-run victory to bounce back into the series.
