West Indies thumped United Arab Emirates by 4 wickets in the 3rd ODI to whitewash them in the ODI series before the World Cup Qualification.

United Arab Emirates winning the toss and they chose to bat first at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium, Sharjah. After choosing to bat first, they were off to a good start. Despite losing their opener Lovepreet Singh they kept going with a good pace.

Muhammad Waseem and wk batter Arvind had a brilliant partnership at the third wicket of 69 runs before Waseem got knocked over by Reifer. On the other hand, number three batter Arvind played a magnificent knock of 70 off 75 deliveries.

After the departure of these two, UAE fell to a deep sea. Arvind's wicket triggered the collapse and that happened in the worst way possible. Their middle order flopped horribly and could manage to score only 97 runs after that 69 run partnership at 3rd wicket. However UAE were bundled for a meagre 184.
For WI, Kevin Sinclair was the pick of the bowlers as he picked up 4 wickets, while Chariah got 2.

Chasing the total, WI lost Johnson Charles ealrier of the innings. But Alick Athanaze and Shamrah Brooks did the damage with their monstrous blows. Athanaze scored a quick-fire 65 off only 45 deliveries. While Brooks scored 39 off 58. At the end, Roston Chase and Reifer did take WI home after a mild collapse at the middle order.

With the win WI whitewashed UAE before the Qualification round of ICC Cricket World Cup. Brandon King was named as the player of the series for his 176 runs at 88. And the rookie spinner Kevin Sinclair named player of the match for his 4 wicket haul.
