It's the time of the year when world Cricket's top giants meet together for the ultimate battle. The Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-2025 has been built up for months as the craze built to the highest level. Australia to take off India in the first Test on Friday at Optus, Perth.

India are coming with low confidence after a historic whitewash defeat to New Zealand at home, as team India were drubbed by the Blackcaps by 3-nil. But they've old tradition to beat Australia surprisingly. They beat Australia in the 2020-2021 summer with a deflated side. And they would be dreaming of another miracle as well.

Australia will have one debutant in Nathan McSweeney, who will open their innings with veteran Usman Khawaja. And India will be without their skipper, Rohit Sharma and No. 3 batter Shubman Gill.
