Rafiq, Salam, Barkat, Jabbar poured their blood on the streets on 21st February 1952 demanding that the mother tongue Bengali be made the state language. It is because of their martyrdom that today we can speak our mother tongue at will. The month of February is therefore very special for all Bengali-speaking people.
