Australia crashed New Zealand by 3 wickets and whitewashed the blackcaps in their own backyard. Alex Carey's match winning 98*, Mitchell Marsh's thumping 80 and Pat Cummins ice cool 32* took Australia home unscathed.

Chasing 279, Ben Sears and Matt Henry ran riot to leave us stutter at 30-4. Alex Carey and Mitchell Marsh stitching up a 160 run partnership on 6th wicket. And then double blow from Ben Sears brought New Zealand back into the game as he removed Marsh and Starc in consecutive deliveries. But Carey and Pat Cummins had a 61 run stand off only 64 deliveries to take Australia home unscathed.

Alex Carey strangled on 98* and showed this class at the highest level once again. Captain Cummins with ice in his veins. Another batting heroic to hand Australia famous away win.
Alex Carey was named the player of the match for his invincible 98* and Matt Henry was named the player of the series for his 17 wickets at an average of just 15.71.

It's been a great tour for Australia as they whitewashed Kiwis in both the T20I series and the test series as well. Australia now ranks 2nd in the WTC standings. Australia will now have a massive break from test cricket as their next test series starts from November at the backend of 2024 against India.
