Delhi Capitals (DC) defeated the table-topping Gujarat Titans (GT) by defending a low score of 130 runs on Tuesday (May 2) in an IPL 2023 match at Ahmedabad's Narendra Modi Stadium.

After an exceptional opening spell from fast bowler Mohammed Shami, DC's innings got off to a shaky start, with the team floundering at 23/5. DC was able to register a respectable score due to the contributions of Axar Patel (27), Aman Khan (51), and Ripal Patel (23).

Then, DC's bowlers displayed an outstanding performance to restrict the Titans. Khaleel Ahmed, a left-handed seamer, began the innings with a wicketless over. Then, Anrich Nortje took the vital wicket of Shubman Gill. As the Titans attempted to form a partnership, veteran pacer Ishant Sharma bowled Vijay Shankar with one of the finest deliveries of the season.
