BCB arranges camp in different way for Women's Emerging Team preparation
Not a traditional fitness and skill camp, BCB has arranged this camp to be started on June 1 at the Bangladesh Sports Institute (BKSP) in Savar in a different way. A source of the board said that the Dhaka Premier Division Women’s Cricket League (DPL) is going on, even in this camp, the cricketers will get a chance to play matches.

The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) announced the 14-member squad for the Women's Emerging Asia Cup to be held in Hong Kong on Monday (May 29). The team will leave the country on the starting day of the tournament i.e. June 10. Before that, women cricketers will have a special camp of 8 days to prepare themselves.

A source of the board said that the Dhaka Premier Division Women’s Cricket League (DPL) is going on, even in this camp, the cricketers will get a chance to play matches.
Each of the 14 cricketers who got a chance in the Emerging Asia Cup squad is playing in the ongoing Women's Premier League. The cricketers will continue the camp and the league at the same time as requested by the head coach Hashan Thilakarathne. The coach of the women's team has such a different idea, mainly thinking about match practice. This Sri Lankan coach has already returned to Bangladesh after his vacation to join the camp.
The 8-day camp will start on June 1 at BKSP. 14 cricketers who have been called to the team will be in this camp. Bangladesh will leave the country on June 10 under the leadership of Lata Mondal. They will play their first match against Malaysia on June 12. Then, they will face Sri Lanka on June 14, and their last match in the group stage on June 16 against the United Arab Emirates Emerging Women's team.
