India women won the toss and chose to bat first. But the decision soon proved wrong as Sultana Khatun's onburst got the both Indian women. Smriti Mandhana was gone scoring only 1, while her partner Shafali Verma made 11 off 14 deliveries. Rodrigues played a fluent knock as she scored 28 from just 26 deliveries with a healthy strike rate of 107.69. Harmanpreet Kaur's bat again shone as skipper stood tall in India's tragic day. Kaur scored 40 off just 41 deliveries in her innings. But after the departure of Kaur, India collapsed horribly and were bundled for 102-9 after alloted 20 overs.
Rabeya Khan was the pick of the bowlers from Bangladesh as she picked up 3 wickets and forced to collapse in the middle order. Sultana Khatun got rid of two openers earlier of the match. While Nahida, Fahima and Shorna were among the wickets with their solitary one.
Chasing 103, Bangladesh women had a brilliant start as their openers Shathi Roy scored 10 off 11, while her partner Shamima Sultana played a glorious knock of 42 from 46 deliveries. Nigar Sultana had some time and made 14 off 20. At the end, Sultana Khatun's late blitz of 12 from 8 deliveries and lower order batters Roti Moni and Nahida Akter helped Bangladesh cruise pass India and avoid the whitewash.
Now the India Women and Bangladesh women will be heading for ODI's which will commence from 16th July Sunday.
