The journey of women's umpiring in the country started with the hand of Shathira Jakir Jessy. Many other girls have come to umpiring after being inspired by her. This time Jessy is standing in front of a milestone. She has been appointed as an umpire in the Women's Emerging Asia Cup. If all goes well, Jessy will be seen as an umpire in the Women's Emerging Asia Cup to be held in Hong Kong next June.

This is the first time Asian Cricket Council (ACC) has taken the initiative to organize the Women's Emerging Asia Cup. Earlier this tournament was organized only with men’s teams. 8 teams will play in the women’s tournament. Under-23 teams of Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, India, Pakistan, Thailand, Malaysia, Hong Kong and United Arab Emirates will play in this tournament. The first season will be played on the field on June 12 and the final on June 21.

Last year, for the first time in men’s third-division cricket, women umpires were in charge of match management, and there was Jessy too. Apart from this, Jessy also served as an umpire in a special match in India a few days ago. Bangladesh's female umpire Jessy will also be seen in the tournament organized by ACC.

Jessy also has experience playing in the women's national team. She played 3 matches. At the end of the game, Jessy is on the verge of making a new history in umpiring.
