Bangladesh U19 team won by 5 wickets against Nepal U19 team in their first match of the ICC U19 World Cup Super Six phase. As a result of this victory, the youth of Bangladesh survived the semi-final fight. You will get the semi-ticket if you beat Pakistan by a big margin in the next match.  

Nepal won the toss and elected to bat first at Mount Maunganui Oval in Bloemfontein. From the beginning, Nepal were dismantled by the Tiger Pacers. Nepal's opening pair broke at the team’s 18 runs. Bangladesh's Maruf Mridha gave Nepal the first blow by dismissing opener Bipin Rawal. After that Iqbal Hasan Emon dismissed Aakash Tripathi after 28 runs of the team. Another wicket fell in the next over. Opener Arjun Kumal returned to the dressing room after scoring 14 runs off 26 balls. Nepal lost 3 wickets in just 29 runs.

Then captain Dev Khanal and Bishal Bikram KC tried to resist. 62 runs came from the pair of the two. But their resistance was not long. Dev scored 35 runs off 60 balls and Bishal got out with 48 runs off 100 balls.

After the dismissal of these two, Nepal kept losing wickets. All in all, Nepal lost one wicket after another and got all out for 169 runs. Nepal tried to build some resistance by picking up 27 runs in the last pair of wickets. Subash Bhandari survived till the end with 18 runs off 34 balls. 

Rohanat Doullah Borson took 4 wickets for Bangladesh. Besides, Sheikh Parvez Jibon got 3 wickets.

Bangladesh got off to a good start in reply. Ashiqur Rahman Shibli was slow but Jishan Alam did attacking batting. He continued to dismantle the bowlers of Nepal with attacking batting. The runs on the board of the team started to rise quickly.

Shibli left the team at team’s 67 runs after scoring 16 runs off 34 balls. After that, Jishan continued the rampage. He hit a great fifty. Chowdhury Mohammad Rizwan could not extend the innings even though he got off to a good start. He returned to the dressing room after scoring 15 runs off 11 balls.

Jishan also got out after fifty. The Tigers opener returned to dressing room after playing a brilliant innings of 55 runs from 43 balls. After that, Bangladesh's innings progressed with the bat of Ariful Islam and Ahrar Amin. Both were quite fluent with the bat.

Ahrar was dismissed for 12 runs from 17 balls, but Ariful left the field after winning the match for the team. He played a brilliant innings of 59 runs off 38 balls and brought the team to the port of victory.  Subash Bhandari took 5 wickets for Nepal.
