Bangladesh U19 team have grabbed a victory in their second warm-up match before the main stage of the ICC Men’s U19 Cricket World Cup. Despite losing to Sri Lanka in the first match, the Junior Tigers crushed the Australia U-19 team this time. Tiger Youth won by 5 wickets against Aji Youth in the warm-up match.  

Australia won the toss and elected to bat first in Pretoria. From the beginning, they were cautious. Opener Sam Konstas played an innings of 27 runs off 31 balls. Captain Hugh Weibgen played an innings of 31 runs off 57 balls.

Besides, Harjas Singh was disappointed in the end even though he got very close to fifty. He scored 46 runs off 60 balls. Corey Wasley scored 28 runs from 32 balls and after Wasley's dismissal, Australia’s innings closed down so early. They kept losing wickets. The bowlers of Bangladesh kept taking wickets one after another. Australia were all out for just 165 after losing 7 wickets in their last 28 runs. They were reduced from 3/137 to 10/165.

Rohanat Doullah Borson took 4 wickets for Bangladesh. Captain Mahfuzur Rahman Rabby got 2 wickets.

Bangladesh did not have to face much danger in chasing the modest target. Chowdhury Mohammad Rizwan scored a great fifty. And that made the victory of Bangladesh easier. Bangladesh reached the port of victory with 107 balls and 5 wickets in hand. Rizwan left the field winning the team after playing an unbeaten innings of 53 runs off 59 balls. Besides, Jishan Alam played an innings of 23 runs off 29 balls.

As a result of this match, the warm-up match phase of the Young Tigers has come to an end. Now it's time to go down to the main World Cup. The World Cup campaign of the Bangladesh U19 team will start with a match against India U19 team on January 20.
