Pakistan Under-19 team have won another comfortable match against Bangladesh Under-19 on Monday (May 8) in Chattogram. They beat the hosts by 78 runs in the second ODI and lead the series by 2-0.
After being sent to bat first, with the help of opener Azan Awais’ century Pakistan posted a good fighting total of 271 runs in 50 overs. Azan played a beautiful innings of 105 runs from 125 balls with 15 fours. Other than him, captain Saad Baig (51), Shamyl Hussain (33), Amir Hassan (29*) contributed well. They lost all the wickets in 50 overs. Iqbal Hossain Emmon was the best bowler for Bangladesh with 4 wickets. Mahfuzur Rahman Rabby took 3 wickets.
Chasing the target, Bangladesh lost wickets at regular intervals from the beginning and were bundled out for just 193 runs in 47 overs. Mohammad Shihab James was the highest scorer for Bangladesh with 42 runs from 62 balls. Adil Bin Siddik scored 40 runs from 61 balls. Other than these two, no one played any significant innings and so the hosts were never in rhythm in the chase.
Muhammad Ismail was the best bowler for Pakistan with 3 wickets. Aimal Khan, Ali Asfand and Arafat Minhas all got two wickets each.
