Pakistan cricket is once again in the spotlight, but this time not for on-field action. A viral video of former Australian cricketer Brad Hogg making fun of Pakistan national cricket team wicketkeeper Mohammad Rizwan’s English has sparked outrage, with fellow Pakistani cricketer Aamer Jamal calling out Hogg for the “shameful” act.

In the video, Brad Hogg can be seen engaging with a content creator who asked, "What do you think about Virat Kohli?" Hogg replied in a humorous manner, drawing comparisons between himself and Kohli, stating, "I and Virat are alike. He drinks water, I drink water. He eats food, I eat food. We are both the same; there is no difference." However, Hogg took the joke further by mimicking one of Mohammad Rizwan's well-known responses, saying, "Ya win hai, learn hai," followed by mocking Rizwan's English with the line, "Yes, everyone in Pakistan says my English is very good."
This mockery didn’t sit well with Aamer Jamal who took to social media to express his anger and disappointment. In his tweet Jamal stated:
"I just watched a video that is circulating on Twitter and other social media. It is a very shameful act from Brad Hogg, who calls himself an international cricketer, making fun of Mohammad Rizwan’s English, which is his 3rd language, not even 2nd. I would rather suggest you become a #TikToker because you might need followers and attention by making fun of other people. That’s the platform for you, not the cricket community."
