Zaka Ashraf resigns as PCB president
After Najam Sethi, Zaka sat as the PCB president. Although his extended term was due to expire at the beginning of February, he decided to resign a few days ago. The government of Pakistan decided to extend his term by three months in November 2023.

Pakistan's cricket is undergoing the biggest change in memory. Zaka Ashraf, president of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), has resigned due to the reshuffle. Xhaka announced after the fourth meeting of the committee at the National Cricket Academy in Lahore today (January 19).
After Najam Sethi, Zaka sat as the PCB president. Although his extended term was due to expire at the beginning of February, he decided to resign a few days ago. The government of Pakistan decided to extend his term by three months in November 2023.
He was appointed as the head of the interim management committee in July last year. The 10-member committee was given four months to organize the election of the Board of Governors and President. However, if the work is not completed within that time, an additional three months is given to the committee. That deadline was supposed to expire in early February, but the work has not yet been done. Zaka Ashraf resigned now.
Ever since Pakistan failed in the 2023 Asia Cup and World Cup, Pakistan's cricket has been changing change. Starting from the captain, coaching staff, and selectors, Pakistan has started pouring everything. Zaka Ashraf has left the post of PCB president.
