Indian wicketkeeper batter Wriddhiman Saha has announced his retirement from international Cricket.

Wriddhiman Saha Saha has culminated his 17-year-long career with a farewell match against Panjab at Eden Gardens on Saturday, February 1, 2025. 

“After a cherished career, this season will be my last. I’m honoured to represent Bengal one final time, playing only in the Ranji Trophy before I retire. Let’s make this season one to Remember!” - Wriddhiman Saha said.

“I have enjoyed every bit of my long journey. I have done the best for every team I have played for... a lot of memories. I thank each and everyone who was involved in my journey. Now it is time to spend time with my family,” added Saha.

Wriddhiman Saha featured 40 Tests for India, accumulating 1,352 runs at an average of 29.41, including 6 fifties and three centuries to his name. Wriddhiman Saha last featured for India in 2021 in the Mumbai Test against New Zealand. With 141 First-Class appearances, Saha has piled up 7,169 runs, boasting an impressive average of 48.68, including 14 centuries and 44 fifties. 

Saha has donned five franchises in the IPL. He played in 170 matches and scored 2,934 runs, including a century and 13 fifties, with a strike rate of over 127. He also contributed 92 catches and 26 stumpings.
