Zimbabwe beat the World Champions India by 13 runs on Saturday (6th July). Wicket-keeper batter Clive Madande's fighting 29* helped them post 115 on the board. In reply, Tendai Chatara's sensational bowling reduced India to 102 and handed Zimbabwe a famous victory. 

For the first time in last 8 years, Zimbabwe beat India in T20I's. 
Being put into bat first, it was a poor display of batting from Zimbabwe's batting lineup as they looked completely clueless infront of Ravi Bishnoi as the leg spinner claimed 4 wickets to tear apart the Zimbabwean lineup.

Mukesh Kumar started it by castling Innocent Kaia earlier on but Brian Bennett and Wesley Madhvere had a decent partnership to keep going. But they couldn’t carry Zimbabwe much longer. Sikandar Raza and Dion Myers also had starts but couldn’t make things long as Clive Madande played a brilliant knock of 29 off 25 balls to help the hosts post 115 on the board.

Ravi Bishnoi was the standout bowler as he picked up a 4 wicket-haul. While Washington Sundar sneaked in with 2 wickets.

In reply, India had a horrid start as Brian Bennett removed Abhishek Sharma for a 4 ball duck. Blessing Muzarabani had Ruturaj Gaikwad, while Chatara ran riot in the middle overs as he picked up two wickets in quick succession to put India under immense pressure. India were feeling the heat as they were reduced to 61-7 in pursuit of 116.

Washington Sundar stood tall one end and smashed 12 off Jongwe's 18th over to reduce the equation down to 18 off last two overs.

Blessing Muzarabani leaked just 2 runs in the penultimate over, while Sundar was there till the end, with India needing 16 off the last over.

Tendai Chatara came to bowl the last over as he bowled with great inspiration and he gave 4 dots and in the 5th delivery he got Sundar out to hand Zimbabwe a famous 13 runs victory.
