We’ve told Nahid Rana one thing — bowl at over 140 km/h, no compromises: Shanto
Fans and experts aren't the only ones talking about Rana; the other team is also being asked how ready they are to face him. During a press conference before the match, experienced Zimbabwean batter Sean Williams was asked about how dangerous Rana's speed was.

As Bangladesh get ready for the highly anticipated series against Zimbabwe, one name keeps coming up in the news: Nahid Rana. The young star has already captivated the cricket world with his lightning-fast speed.
Fans and experts aren't the only ones talking about Rana; the other team is also being asked how ready they are to face him. During a press conference before the match, experienced Zimbabwean batter Sean Williams was asked about how dangerous Rana's speed was.
Williams, however, seemed unfazed. “There's a lot of people that can bowl fast nowadays. Not just one person in the world bowls fast. So we prepared for that. We've had bowling machines that bowl faster than human beings. So that's a great thing,” he said.
When those comments were put to Bangladesh captain Najmul Hossain Shanto, he responded with a grin and a subtle warning. “You’ll know just how fast Nahid Rana is when he bowls tomorrow and the opposition tries to face him,” Shanto said with a chuckle during the press conference.
Shanto didn’t hold back in showing his faith in the youngster, recalling his early days in domestic cricket. “I’ve known him since his Rajshahi Division days, even before he got any playing opportunities. He used to just practice back then. We’ve told him one thing — bowl at over 140 km/h, no compromises. If he gets a chance, he must bowl quick.”
