India beat Zimbabwe by 23 runs in the third T20I on Wednesday (10th July) at Harare Sports Club, Harare. A breezy knock from Yashasvi Jaiswal, a solid fifty from Shubman Gill and a 49 rin blitz from Gaikwad helped India post 182 on the board. In reply, Dion Myers smacked 65 off just 49 balls and gave scare to India but Washington Sundar's economical bowling aided India topple Zimbabwe.
India are ahead of Zimbabwe in the 5 match T20I series by 2-1.
Opting to bat first, Yashasvi Jaiswal and Shubman Gill made a solid opening partnership of 67 runs, where Jaiswal accelerated the innings. Gill made 66 off 49 deliveries to give a fine foundation to the Indian innings.
At the backend of the innings, Ruturaj Gaikwad made a blitz of 49 off 28 deliveries to post an above par total of 182 on the board in a two-paced pitch.
In reply, Avesh Khan ran riot through the Zimbabwe's top order. Dion Myers stood tall and fought a lone hand and scored a solid 65* off only 49 deliveries. Raza, Madhevere, T Marumani, Brian Bennett all failed which helped India topple Zimbabwe.
At the backend of the innings, Clive Madande scored a fantastic 37 off 26 deliveries to give scare but India were too clinical to win the match to go 2-1 in the series, with 2 matches to remaining.
