India's mystery spinner Varun Chakaravarthy has earned maiden call-up for the ODI's. The ODI series against England is set to be commenced from Thursday (February 6) in Nagpur.

Varun Chakaravarthy Varun Chakaravarthy picked up 14 wickets across the five T20I's against England, where India crushed the English team by 4-1. Varun Chakaravarthy is set to replace the India's pace ace Jasprit Bumrah in the squad due to his back issues what he sustained in the Test series against Australia. 

Varun has played 23 List A games and scalped 59 wickets till till. He was the second-highest wicket-taker in the Vijay Hazare Trophy tournament in the season of 2024-25. The mystery spinner bagged 18 wickets in six matches at an incredible economy of 4.36 for the Tamil Nadu team. Varun Chakaravarthy will join a spin heavy attack which already included Kuldeep Yadav, Axar Patel, Washington Sundar, and Ravindra Jadeja.
