Following their historic campaign in the USA and the West Indies for the ICC T20 World Cup 2024, USA Cricket revealed their ODI and T20I squads for the forthcoming tour of the Netherlands. The team made substantial changes to its white-ball teams.

Without Saurabh Netravalkar, the T20 World Cup's breakthrough sensation, the USA are scheduled to play in the Netherlands. Parental leave has been granted to the former captain after the birth of his first kid. For the ODI portion of the tour, wicketkeeper batter Andries Gous has also been given parental leave.

However, following a dismal T20 World Cup performance, former New Zealand all-rounder Corey Anderson has been cut from the team. Nisarg Patel, a left-arm spinning all-rounder, was also excluded after becoming the first player from the USA to start the World Cup on the bench. Yasir Muhammad, a wrist spinner who has been in two T20 Internationals for the USA, now gets an opportunity to shine because of his absence. Milind Kumar, a middle-order batter, is included in the ODI lineup but is not included in the T20 squad.

Veteran fast-bowling all-rounder Shadley Van Schalkwyk is again left off of the T20I selection, but he makes his ODI debut for the team's trip of the Netherlands. However, Sai Teja Mukkamalla, a youthful player, was able to hold onto his spot in the ODI and T20I teams.

The selection of 17-year-old Utkarsh Srivastava in the ODI and T20I teams has drawn criticism, particularly in light of the recent successes of MLC players Ali Sheikh and Sanjay Krishnamurthy, who have thrived in senior cricket and were left off of the Netherlands tour.
