Boult becomes the first and only pacer from New Zealand to have 6 five fifers in ODI Cricket. He reached that feat on Wednesday (13th September) against England at the Oval, London. He ripped through England's top order by picking up Bairstow and Root. And then trimmed the middle and lower order to restrict England under 400.
New Zealand won the toss and chose to bowl first. Coming out to bowl, Boult yet again ran riot through the England's top order. He removed Bairstow for a golden duck and then picked up the wicket of dangerous Root. Ben Stokes and Malan's 199 run stand took England to a safe shore but Boult's timely breakthroughs gave New Zealand a chance and helped them to restrict undet 400. England were bundled for 368.
Trent Boult had a five wicket haul after picking up the wickets of Bairstow, Root, Malan, Sam Curran and Gus Atkinson. This is his 6th five wicket haul in ODI Cricket, which is highest by a kiwi. He broke the record of Richard Hadlee's 5.
