Mumbai Indians beat Delhi Capitals by 13 runs on Sunday (April 13) in a thriller. A superb 59 from Tilak Varma and Ryan Rickelton's 41 off 25 balls helped Mumbai Indians get to 205 runs on the board. In response, Karn Sharma's three wickets and a historic hat-trick of run-outs helped MI get this thrilling victory.
Being inserted to bat first, Mumbai Indians lost Rohit Sharma earlier on. But wicketkeeper batter Ryan Rickelton and Suryakumar Yadav then steadied the ship for Mumbai Indians, stitching a fine stand. Rickelton played a good cameo on the top order, scoring 41 off just 25 balls, while Suryakumar Yadav scored 40 off 28 balls.
At the backend of the innings, Tilak Varma stood tall and he single handedly played a superb knock, smashing an excellent 59 off 33 balls, while Naman Dhir played the perfect cameo role, hitting a blitz of unbeaten 38 off 17 balls as Mumbai Indians posted a massive 205 runs.
In response, Jake Fraser-McGurk was out on golden duck. Abishek Porel and Karun Nair then together added a massive 119-run stand before the fall of Porel after his 33 off 25 balls. However, Karun Nair was the man on a massion, he single handedly demolished Mumbai Indians bowlers, blazing an outstanding knock of 89 off just 40 balls. But after his fall, DC crumbled severly as MI had a fine comeback with hat-trick of run-outs on the Jasprit Bumrah's over, helping his side claim a superb 13-run win.
