India's elegant wk batter Rishabh Pant had a car crash in December 2022. And for the accident he was out of Cricket for 1 and a half years. But now he'll feature Delhi Capitals in this year of IPL that too as the captain of the side. He shared his passion and how much he missed Cricket during that traumatic phase at the eve of IPL 2024.
"I just want to be in the moment at this time. There are no words to describe that feeling when you are out for one-and-a-half years or so and [you are not doing] the thing you love the most in the world. There are not enough words to describe that feeling when I entered the field [again for the first time]. I would say even in the practice matches at the NCA… every time now I take the field, it's a different feeling for me. I just love the game more and more, I would say." - Rishabh Pant.
Rishabh Pant's Delhi Capitals first assignment will be Punjab Kings on Saturday (23rd March) at Mullanpur Chandigarh. And it is expected that Pant will lead his side yet again in the IPL. Rishabh Pant has played 98 IPL matches and scored 2,838 runs at an average of 34.61 and a jaw dropping strike rate of 147.97. He also smashed one hundred and 15 half centuries in his illustrious IPL career.
