The eight franchises which are all attached to cities in the United Kingdom unveiled their official names and kits at an event in east London on Thursday morning.
Furthermore, two local icons from both men and women team were also announced. The men and women competition will be held side by side.
Other members of each squad will be confirmed during the main draft on October 20.
There are seven set salary ranges for the cricketers participating in the Hundred with up to two players to be picked at each of the following levels, £125,000, £100,000, £75,000, £60,000, £50,000, £40,000 and £30,000. Captains will receive a bonus of £10,000.
The women's seven salary brackets are, £15,000, £12,000, £9,000, £7,200, £6,000, £4,800 and £3,600. The captains will receive a £1,200 bonus.
Teams can sign one further England centrally contracted player during stage two and can sign a maximum of three overseas players.
Sanjay Patel, managing director of The Hundred said, “We are thrilled to share the first players who will be starring in the men’s and women’s competitions for The Hundred next summer. Our ambition is to inspire the next generation to pick up a bat and ball and we hope that a fire will be ignited in young people as they see their sporting heroes play in The Hundred.”
