Bangladesh pacer Taskin Ahmed who was away from the national team for almost three years due to his injury and poor form lately has made a return to international cricket in all three formats. Although his performance was better than many other Bangladeshi bowlers in the ODIs against New Zealand, he was extremely expensive in the two T20Is. But, he was brilliant against Sri Lanka in the Test series right after the New Zealand series as he ensured 8 wickets from 3 innings. Evaluating the 26-year old pacer's recent performance the team management likely to have come to the conclusion that it is better to keep him away from the T20 format for a while, as hinted by Khaled Mahmud Sujon who was part of Bangladesh team management as the team leader during the last two series. "Look we have to understand that we cannot put overload on Taskin as it can backfire. Taskin bowled a lot of overs in the Test series against Sri Lanka. He is very much in the ODI plans but if we push him to play all three formats all the time it can be harmful in the long run. We need to make a balance somewhere and that is most important if we want long service from players like Taskin," Khaled Mahmud was quoted as saying by Cricbuzz. Meanwhile, the pacer also has admitted the fact that the management currently is not considering him for T20Is. ''Yes, Nannu Sir (chief selector Minhajul Abedin) spoke with me after the series (two Tests against Sri Lanka). It is not that I will not play T20Is. It's just that they wanted me to concentrate on Tests and ODIs," said Taskin.
