Former Indian cricketer Sanjay Manjrekar took to his official X social media handle (previously called Twitter) and exposed Indian media's bias towards Virat Kohli. His remark came after India's thrilling win over Pakistan in New York. 

Virat KohliWhile the cricket fraternity's attention was on Virat Kohli, the latter failed to deliver the goods as he was dismissed for 4 runs whereas Jasprit Bumrah produced a match-winning bowling display by registering impressive figures of 3/14 at an economy of 3.50.

Rightly so, he was adjudged the Player of the Match. After the game, the commentator took to X and reserved the highest respect for Jasprit Bumrah while also taking a dig at Virat Kohli. 

The commentator stressed on the fact that the Indian media was pretty much obsessed with Virat Kohli whereas Bumrah doesn't get the attention he deserves despite silently winning games for India.

"While Indian media obsesses over Virat & Co, Jasprit Bumrah quietly wins games for India single-handedly. By far the best player in the Indian team & has been for a while now."

Meanwhile, Rohit Sharma & Co. won two games on the trot and are on top of the Group A points table. They will cross swords with the co-hosts, USA in the third game on June 12 (Wednesday) at the same venue.
