India secured a comprehensive win in the second T20I of the three-match series against Bangladesh, with standout performances from Nitish Kumar Reddy and Rinku Singh. The victory not only sealed the series 2-0 but also showcased India’s middle-order strength under pressure.

India captain, Suryakumar Yadav, shared his thoughts after the match, highlighting his strategic decisions: "I wanted that situation (41 for 3) and the middle order to bat in it to see how they go. The message has been loud and clear - do what you do in the nets, and franchises. I wanted to see what different bowlers can do especially in games where we're defending 170-175. So, used many bowlers without Hardik. It was Nitish's day, so wanted to give him a chance."

After a shaky start, Nitish Kumar Reddy played a blistering knock, scoring 74 off just 34 balls, including 4 fours and 7 sixes at a strike rate of 217.64. His partnership with Rinku Singh (53 off 29) helped India post a strong total of 221/9 in their 20 overs. Hardik Pandya contributed a valuable 32 off 19 balls, while Riyan Parag finished with a quickfire 15 off 6.

Bangladesh’s bowlers had a tough time, with Taskin Ahmed and Mustafizur Rahman both picking up two wickets each. However, they couldn’t stop the onslaught from India’s middle order.

Chasing 222, Bangladesh never found momentum. Early wickets from Arshdeep Singh and Varun Chakravarthy put Bangladesh on the back foot. Despite a valiant 41 from Mahmudullah, Bangladesh managed only 135/9 in their 20 overs. Nitish Kumar Reddy shined with the ball as well, picking up two wickets for just 23 runs, securing his position as the Player of the Match.

Suryakumar utilized a variety of bowlers to test their abilities in different scenarios. With Hardik Pandya not bowling, the likes of Nitish Kumar Reddy and Varun Chakravarthy stepped up. Speaking about his approach, Suryakumar said:
