The Saint Lucia Kings announced their list of retained players on June 6 and confirmed that South Africa's explosive wicketkeeper batter Heinrich Klaasen will be joining them for CPL 2024.
The Kings have also acquired Afghanistan left-arm spinner Noor Ahmed and Namibian seam-bowling all-rounder David Wiese. Additionally, they have retained former South African captain Faf du Plessis and Sri Lankan top-order batter Bhanuka Rajapaksa.

The franchise has retained its core group of Caribbean players who helped them reach the playoffs for the fourth consecutive year in 2023. Johnson Charles, Alzarri Joseph, Roston Chase, Matthew Forde, and Khary Pierre will all return for the 2024 edition. Seam bowlers Shadrack Descarte and McKenny Clarke complete their list of retained players.
With 12 players now confirmed for the 2024 season, the Kings still have five roster spots to fill. These remaining positions will be determined during the draft, which is slated for July. The team will be looking to strategically select players to complement their already strong lineup and enhance their chances for success in the upcoming CPL season.
