Sri Lanka name formidable squad for New Zealand T20I series
The first T20I begins from December 28 in Mount Maunganui.

Sri Lanka have named their T20I squad for the upcoming New Zealand white-ball tour. There are, however, no changes to the squad what they had previous time at their home against the same opposition.
Charith Asalanka as the top order will consist of Pathum Nissanka, Kusal Mendis, Kusal Perera, Avishka Fernando. The middle order is well experienced consisting of Kamindu Mendis, Dinesh Chandimal and Bhanuka Rajapaksa.

The first T20I begins from December 28 in Mount Maunganui.

- 1st T20I: December 28, Mount Maunganui
- 2nd T20I: December 30, Mount Maunganui
- 3rd T20I: January 2, Nelson
Following the T20I series both the teams have locked their horns for a three-match ODI series.
Meanwhile, New Zealand have announced their new white-ball captain Mitchell Santner. Following Kane Williamson's step down after the disastrous campaign in T20 World Cup in the Caribbeans, New Zealand were void of a white-ball captain and today they have named Mitchell Santner as their new skipper, who will begin his run from the Sri Lanka series.
