Sri Lanka cricket team had suffered from a brutal attack during their tour to Pakistan in 2009, since then, Test playing countries except Zimbabwe stopped to tour in Pakistan. International cricket becomes almost ban in Pakistan as the teams are not showing their interest to tour in Pakistan. [বাংলায় পড়ুনঃ পাকিস্তান সফরে যাবে শ্রীলঙ্কা!] International Cricket Council also remains silent on the issue to send teams in Pakistan for international cricket. Hence, Pakistan Cricket Board has to arrange home series in the neutral venue. Now, chances rise to return international cricket in Pakistan again. At the end of the successful final match of second edition of Pakistan Super League, ICC gives permission to World XI for touring in Pakistan for playing a friendly match. Now, the rumor has spread-out that Sri Lanka cricket team are expecting to tour Pakistan later of this year in November-December. On Thursday, Daily Mirror published a report with the help of a board officer of Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), where they have mentioned that Cricket Sri Lanka showed positive response wit PCB to tour Pakistan. It has further learnt that Sri Lanka are likely to play one T20Is and a ODI match with Pakistan during the tour. According to the PCB officials, it is known that the limited-overs series between this two teams will be staged in Lahore only. This officials told to Dawn, “it is expecting Sri Lanka to tour the country for one-day internationals and Twenty20 matches at the end of this year. We would be providing a similar kind of high-profile security to the Sri Lankan team as provided to foreign players during the Pakistan Super League (PSL) final at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore earlier this year.”
