Zimbabwe set the target of 361 runs for Sri Lanka on the last day of the match. Dimuth Karunaratne's team started losing wickets at regular intervals from the beginning. However, Kusal Mendis saved the match by an unbeaten 116 runs.
At the end of the fifth day, the Lankans scored 204 runs for 3 wickets in 87 overs. The match ended in a draw as the time was up. Apart from Mendis, Oshada Fernando scored 47 runs, while Dimuth Karunaratne was dismissed for 12. Angelo Mathews went back for 13 runs.
