India beat South Africa by 7 runs to clinch an ICC Trophy after 11 years on Saturday (29th June). India posted a massive 176 on the board in the Final in Barbados. Virat Kohli's highest total of the tournament [76 off 59] and some late blitz from Shivam Dube, who scored 27 off 16, helped India post 176. In reply, Jasprit Bumrah and Arshdeep Singh both bowled miraculous spell to take India home by just 7 runs.

Jasprit Bumrah 
After choosing to bat first, India had a tremendous start as Virat Kohli got some boundaries earlier on with Rohit Sharma flourishing at his best. But Keshav Maharaj removed Rohit and then had Rishabh Pant for a two ball duck. Suryakumar came at number 4 and couldn’t stay much longer as he could make only 3 and India were rocked back at 34-3 inside the powerplay.

India promoted Axar Patel up the order to bring the impetus back to India's innings and he did exactly the same. The duo Kohli and Axar were going steadily and the scoreboard was ticking at a good rate, especially Axar was getting boundaries every over which kept the run rate going on. The duo added 72 runs under India's belt before an unlucky runout got Axar out after a breezy 47 off only 31 deliveries.

But Virat was there and he brought up his first fifty of the tournament off 48 deliveries. After getting to his fifty, he changed the gears, smashing Kagiso Rabada and then hammering Marco Jansen to make up the strike rate healthy. Kohli scored a fantastic 76 off only 59 deliveries before getting out to Jansen.

At the backend of the innings, Shivam Dube played a brilliant cameo of 27 off 16 and helped India post 176 on the board.
In reply, South Africa had a horrid start, Jasprit Bumrah knocked over Reeza Hendricks and then Arshdeep Singh got Aiden Markram and South Africa were in all sorts of trouble.

Quinton De Kock and Tristan Stubbs joined hands together and stitched a fine 58 run stand off only 38 balls before Axar Patel brought India back by removing Stubbs for 31 off 21 balls. QDK also departed against run of play and South Africa lost two wickets again.

Heinrich Klaasen then got into the crease and he was smashing the spinners for fluently, and bludgeoned 24 for Axar's last over to make a 24 ball fifty before being edged by Hardik Pandya in the crucial juncture of the innings.

South Africa were left needing 22 off 18 deliveries and Bumrah bowled a fantastic over, picking up the wicket of Marco Jansen and gave away just 2 runs to left 20 to defend in last 2 overs.

Arshdeep Singh bowled a fabulous over to give just 4 runs and they needed 16 off the last over. Miller was the key and he was gone in the first ball. And Hardik Pandya clinched the win for India by 7 runs to win a trophy after 11 years.
