The Australian cricket captain Steven Smith is busy enjoying his holiday in New York and has gotten engaged to girlfriend Dani Willis at Top of the Rock in Manhattan.
On Thursday, Smith shared a selfie on his Facebook page taken shortly after the proposal of the newly engaged couple standing on New York’s Top of the Rock observation deck captioned, "Today I got down on one knee and Dani said YES ??#engaged"
The happy snap shows his now fiance, 26- year-old Willis, resting her hand on her husband-to-be’s chest, showing off her dazzling diamond ring.
However, the Aussie skipper met Willis at a bar during the first season of the Big Bash League, in the summer of 2011-12.
"She's always there for me when I'm around. She always gives me good advice, and tells me the truth. It's nice that you have some honest feedback to come home to all the time. She's been terrific for me over the last few years," Smith was quoted as saying by Fairfax Media in 2014.
The couple have enjoyed an overseas holiday over the past fortnight and also they have shared travel snaps from their adventures in London and Monte Carlo.
