Batting first, Bangladesh scored 322 runs in their 50 overs. But Shanto wasn’t able to lighten up Bangladesh team yesterday as he was run-out after scoring just 6 runs.
But he could have made a great contribution with the fielding. He couldn’t do it because of an injury. In the 19th over of the Zimbabwe innings, Wesley Madhevere’s shot went to the slip where Shanto was standing. But unfortunately Shanto missed the catch and the ball fell from his hands.
That was not the end here, he got injured taking that catch at slip. Blood flowed from his right hand’s little finger. He had to leave the field for proper care and first aid. Then he had to go to for doctor’s service. Finally, the news came after that- wouldn’t make fans comfortable.
