The Bangladeshi star all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan has reached another milestone of picking up 700 international wickets to his name. He has reached to the feat on Saturday (25th May) during the third T20I against the USA, where Bangladesh are trying to avoid whitewash.
USA were asked to bat first, Shakib came to bowl and gave 8 runs in his first over. And then in the second over he removed the dangerous Andries Gous on 27 off 15 balls, the ball went uppish and Soumya Sarkar grabbed the catch which led Shakib to his milestone to 700 international wickets.
Shakib Al Hasan is the one and only cricketer in the history of the game to have scored 14000+ runs and picked up 700+ wickets in international Cricket. Among those 700 wickets, 237 wickets came in Test Cricket at an average of 31.16, while 317 wickets came in ODI Cricket at a great average of just 29.53. And 146 wickets were taken in the T20I Cricket.
However, Bangladesh not having their best of the time in the USA. They lost the series to USA ahead of T20 World Cup. Bangladesh were clubbed in the Group D along with their arch-rivals Sri Lanka, South Africa, Nepal and Netherlands. Bangladesh begin their journey on 8th June against Sri Lanka.
