Bangladeshi all-rounder Shakib Al Hassan will be unavailable for Peshawar Zalmi's remaining PSL 8 games.
Peshawar Zalmi's Shakib Al Hasan was forced to leave the squad to attend a family emergency in the United States and was replaced by Azmatullah Omarzai.
The Bangladeshi all-rounder would return to the HBL Pakistan Super League should Peshawar Zalmi qualify for the playoffs.
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced that Shakib has had to leave PSL 8 midway due to a family issue.
"Peshawar Zalmis Shakib Al Hasan had to leave the squad to attend a family emergency in the United States and he was replaced by Azmatullah Omarzai," PCB shared.
"The Bangladeshi all-rounder would return to the Pakistan Super League for the playoffs should Peshawar Zalmi qualify," the statement added.
Shakib, on the other hand, was disappointed when he left the Zalmi squad. I have to temporarily leave PSL 8 to attend to a crucial personal situation," he noted. Aware of my loyal local fanbase, I was dying to play every game in front of all of them.
"But no need to be disappointed as I will be back sometime in the second half of the competition to do my part in Peshawar Zalmi's campaign to reclaim the title."
Peshawar will be in action on today when they meet the Quetta Gladiators in their third game of the competition. Zalmi has won one game and lost one game in the competition so far.
